Every October, a host of U.S. public service organizations, health-care associations and government agencies collaborate to raise breast cancer awareness by sharing information on the disease and promoting greater access to screening services. The topic is no less important today than it was when National Breast Cancer Awareness Month started more than 25 years ago.
